The Line betting markets are an excellent bench mark to use for Tipping Competitions. A Line is a handicap which the bookmaker has decided will even out a game to allow the punter to make a 50/50 decision on the outcome of the game.
For Example, If one side is considered by the Bookmaker to be a 5.5 point side better than the opposing team, you can wager that this team to win by more than 5.5 points. You can also back the opponent to lose by no more than 5.5 points or win the match.
When you bet on a Line and win it is called covering the Spread.
If a game does not require a Line Betting market (as the bookmakers have decided it is already an even contest) the game will not be available as a Selection for the Survivor Tipping Competition.
If a game is decided to be vunerable to excessive Line Betting swings or a Line Betting market is originally offered by Bookmakers but withdrawn due to uncertainty the game may not be available for Selection in the Survivor Tipping Competition.
If the full qouta of games are not avialable dont be to concerned as all Entrants are faced with the same level playing field.
