Survivor is a knock out Tipping Competition provided on AFL,NRL and Super15 over the 2011 season.
The concept is simple.
Your aim is to stay alive by progressing to the next Stage of your Surviver Group, once at the next Stage your aim is to once again to stay alive by progressing to the next Stage. If you can repeat this process until you have survived where all other Entrants have been eliminated you are the Winner.
How do you stay alive?
You are required to make One selection from the Line betting markets for each Stage. If you get your selection right and cover the Line you remain alive and progress into the next Stage. If you get your selection wrong and do not cover the Line you have fallen and are eliminated.
If you dont lodge a selection for the Stage you are eliminated.
A winner is declared for each Survivor Group only after all other Entrants are eliminated.
The winner of each Survivor Group will be awarded a $100 BONUS BET from Australia's biggest bookmaker, Sportingbet.
With 56 Survivor Groups up for grabs covering AFL, NRL and Super15 Sportingbet is offering $5600 worth of BONUS BETs to reward those with the best Survival skills.
To receive the Promotion you must have a Sportingbet account, dont worry if you dont just click on the Sportingbet links to open your account now. Remember our friends at Sportingbet will also give you an additional $100 BONUS BET just for joining and starting your account with a $30 deposit.
Survivor is divided into Groups. Every round of AFL, NRL and Super15 has a corresponding Survivor Group (ceasing four rounds prior to the finals to allow enough time to decide a winner).
Here is a detailed schedule of the Survivor Groups Offered in 2011 AFL, NRL, and Super15.
Survivor Groups close for Entry at the start time of the first game of the next round. Once a Survivor Group closes no more Entries are allowed and the Survivor Group continues until a winner is declared.
The next Round Survivor Group only open for Entry after the previous Round Survivor Group closes.
Whilst the closed Survivor Groups continue until a winner is declared there will always be another Survival Group waiting for entries at the start of the first game of the next round and so on.
How Do I Enter
Entry to Survivor are organised into Groups.
The great thing about Survivor is there is always a Group waiting for you to enter. If you get eliminated from your Group on the weekend simply Join a new Group which will start next weekend.
To join a new Group first Sign Up to Tips and Form then simply click on the Join Survivor Tab from the Survivor menu.
From the Sport drop down box select either AFL, NRL or Super15.
Complete the Terms and Security Question section and click the SUBMIT tab.
If the details in the Confirm to Join Group are correct click on the CONFIRM tab.
Thats it, you are now ready to become a Survivor.
Remember you can enter as many Groups as you like, however, you are restricted to only one entry per individual Survivor Group. For example, you enter Survivor AFL for round 1 and you are able to progress to the next stage, you can now also enter Survivor AFL for round 2 as they are seperate competitions. In effect you are playing two Survivor Groups at once.
To join a Private Group it is even easier, simply enter the Code emailed to you in your invitation into the Private Group Box from the Join Survivor tab and click SUBMIT and CONFIRM.
To join a Private Group whch has an Entry Cost will require you to deposit money to your Tips and Form account. Tips and Form uses both POLi and Moneybookers as our online payment providers.

The Entry Cost

100% of the Entry Cost collected in each Private Group is paid to the Winner of the Group as a Cash Prize.
If you have been invited to a Private Group you will need to enter a Join Code and pay the Entry Cost. The Entry Cost may be $0.
The winner takes 100% of the Entry Pot as a Cash Prize for all Private Groups.
A full refund of Entry Cost is given to Entrants who pay for a seat in a Private Group but do not lodge a Tip at the first stage.
Such Entrants are deemd to have not started the Group. The Cash Prize Pool for the Group will be subsequently amended to reflect the number of Entrants who lodged a selection in the first stage.
After selections for the first stage are lodged any subsequent failure to lodge a selection will result in elimination.
To join a real money Private Group will require you to deposit money to your Tips and Form account. Tips and Form uses both POLi and Moneybookers as our online payment providers.
How it Works
Survivor operates under the Rules as outlined under the More tab.
Tips are required to be locked in prior to the kick off of the first game of the next Round.
No more entries are accepted and the Group commences at the start of the first game of the Round. The Groups continue until a winner is declared. This may takes several Stages.
Once your Selection for each Stage is confirmed it is locked in and cannot be changed.
Once the first Game for each Stage commences all Entrants picks are published so you can follow the weekends games knowing who has done what and who has survived and who has fallen.
After the completion of each Stage each Group shows who has survived and who is eliminated.
Survivors are then required to make another life or death selection at the next Stage. A Winner is decalred once all other Entrants have been eliminated.
Survivor must produce a sinlge winner. If multiple Entrants exit at the same stage leaving no winner for a Survivor Group, Survivor reinstates the entrants form the previous Stage and the Group continues.
Private Groups
Private Groups are a great way to play Survivor amongst family, friends or work colleagues.
Having a connection to the Entrants in your Survivor Group adds that little extra spice to the competition.
Survivor allows Tips and Form Members to create a Private Group.
The creator of the Private Group becomes the Administrator of that Private Group.
The Administrator sets the Cost of Entry plus the Name of the Private Group.
Once a Private Group is created only people invited by the Administrator can enter that Group.
Private Groups are not eligible to win the Bonus Bet promotion.
Tips and Form will send The Adminstrator of the Private Group an email containing a specific Join Code . This Join Code is the key for your family, friends or work colleagues to take up the Survivor challenge.
Simply forward this email and get ready to see who has what it takes to become the Survivor for your Private Group.
All other aspects of Survivor work as normal.
The Private Group Cash Prize Pool
100% of the Entry Cost paid to join a Private Group is paid to the Winner as a Cash Prize.
In Survivor there is no prize for second place, this is a Winner takes all shoot out.
The Cash Prize Pool is derived from the Number of Entrants who lodge a Tip in the first Stage multiplied by the Entry Cost.
It is only possible to establish the final Cash Prize Pool on offer for a Group after the first Stage has commenced.
Private Groups have a maximum Cash Prize Pool of $1000.
All Cash Prizes are paid into the Tips and Form Account of the Group Winner.
